McDonald, 26, has played in 16 games over the past two seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He has recorded 11 tackles and three pass breakups. Smith, 25, has played in 11 games with the Cleveland Browns and Indianapolis Colts over the past two seasons. He has rushed for 152 yards and a touchdown on 39 carries.

Cardinals sign CB Josh Nurse and RB Darrell Henderson

The Cardinals have signed cornerback Josh Nurse and running back Darrell Henderson to the practice squad, the team announced Tuesday. Nurse, 25, has played in 16 games over the past two seasons with the New York Jets and Houston Texans. He has recorded 12 tackles and two pass breakups. Henderson, 24, played in 11 games with the Denver Broncos last season. He rushed for 152 yards and a touchdown on 39 carries.
